C. Joy Campbell
C. Joy Campbell, LCDC, is a prominent figure in her community through community service and ministry. Born and raised in Dallas, Joy went on to college and she currently holds an undergraduate degree in Business Marketing from Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU). She has always been inspired by Community Development, and it was emphasized when she began working in the field of social services and community affairs. She obtained her Master’s degree in Counseling and Community Development.
She has a passion to help individuals and families become self-sufficient. ​Through trials, tribulations, and struggles with finding her path, Joy began to form a relationship with God. She understood that she was chosen to lead a ministry that would benefit the community as a whole. Her main focus is the betterment of the community as it impacts the lives of the family. She graduated from The Potter’s House School of Ministry in May of 2017. She is the current owner of Guiding Minds Ministries LLC, which is an Outpatient Substance Abuse Facility for Individuals with Substance Use Disorders. This organization also provides educational services for second-chance offenders.

Latonia Brown
Latonia Brown is a prominent figure in the North Eastern sector of Dallas and in the field of Social Services. She grew up with a hearing impaired mother, and at a early age she gained the understanding and learned what it meant to advocate for individuals within the hearing impaired community. Through helping her mother as a child, Latonia began to develop a passion for advocating and empowering individuals who are subjected to the lifestyle of generational poverty and individuals with physical disabilities.

Latonia’s passion led her into the field of Social Work. She attended Prairie View A&M University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. In college she became the president of the Social Work Action club on Prairie View’s campus for 2 years. She also obtained membership into the illustrious and well-known Sorority of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Latonia moved back home, and understood that she needed to more credentials to make a huge impact in her community. She went on to obtain her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She now has over a decade of experience in the field of Social Work with a background consisting of advocating and working with individuals with Mental Health, Children and Families with Child Protective Services. Her professional career path has led her through many organizations such as: Metro Care of Dallas, Brenham State School, Texas Youth Commission at Cottrell House, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas. Latonia is currently working with the Department of Family and Protective Services. She is utilizing her passion as a mentor to individuals to help them become self-sufficient. Latonia also serves on the Advisory Board of Your Discovery Place Inc. as Committee Chair for Family and Youth Development. Her main goal is to continue to help individuals of all walks of life find their purpose, and become self-reliant within themselves. She is a major asset to the organization for her works with the families, and helps the individuals create their "Road to Success Plans" in order for them to become self-sufficient and overcome generational poverty or barriers that prevent them from being successful.

Kayla Jones
Kayla Jones is a licensed professional counselor and operates under her business, Beyond Ashes, LLC Counseling & Consulting Services. She got her bachelor’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and then went on to receive a Masters in Education in the field of Counseling. Kayla has worked in various settings to include: Juvenile Justice department, Behavioral health hospitals, Community Mental Health Agencies, and is currently a school counselor at an elementary school. Ms. Jones brings 10 years of experience working to support children, adolescents, adults, and the family system by providing advocacy and therapeutic interventions. Her specialties include individual counseling, play therapy, group therapy, and case management- connecting clients to resources in order to support wellness in all areas.

Elder Demetrice Smith
Demetrice Smith is an author, entrepreneur, mentor, Elder at her local church, and community activist with over 20 years of experience in Training & Curriculum Facilitation & Design, Leadership Development and Professional Business Coaching.

A skilled and credentialed teacher, Demetrice frequently develops customized corporate and individualized training programs and seminars in a wide-range of topics that may be also utilized for groups and small businesses. Her success with training seminars related to intellectual and developmental disabilities has empowered families of individuals with IDD to understand, communicate more effectively, gain independence, and become a resource for focusing on what an individual CAN DO and not the condition.

Demetrice is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University and holds Bachelor's Degrees in Political Science and another in Communication; a Master of Science Degree in Global Leadership from Walden University, and a Doctorate of Business Administration with an emphasis on Leadership Development also from Walden University.

Elder Smith is an ordained minister for the State of Texas and holds a Master Coaching Certification from The Association for Talent Development.
As a personal and professional coach, Demetrice uses her talents and skills to empower others to develop and execute strategies for professional, personal, organizational and community goals.

Currently employed as the Director of The Potter’s House Dallas Chapter of Best Buddies, the first and only church chapter of Best Buddies in the world.
Demetrice is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Creeping Vines Online, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mental health awareness, education, and assessment.
